Our desire to help Seniors and those with Disabilities comes from Aaron
Meet Aaron, who is the inspiration for this website. Aaron is 38 years old and was hit by a drunk driver when he was 17. Aaron has an amazing personality, is very intelligent and has a great sense of humor. He is just trapped in a body that doesn’t work. Joe has been caring for Aaron long before his accident and I joined them twelve years ago. We are inspired by God to use our struggles and blessings on this journey to provide support and resources for those who find themselves in similar situations either by accident, physically challenged or the aging process. Please reach out to us with your story or for support.
Our Path to Assisting Seniors and those with disabilities.

We feel we have received a calling from God to bring our experience and expertise of a life filled with challenges, successes, failures and a background in Safety and share with others.
We met through our jobs in Safety, Joe as a trainer and I as salesperson. After a few years of friendship and a business relationship, God brought us together in 2010, on a date then joined us two years later in marriage. I had been single for 25 years after raising two boys as a single parent and Joe was a caregiver for an adult grandson with a traumatic brain injury. The first few years were trying, to say the least, with me getting used to a full house of caregivers after living on my own for many years and Joe (a caregiver personality)
having to deal with a strong-willed, independent woman
who has been used to caring for herself and two
sons for most of her adult life. But we persevered
under God’s watchful eye. We each had many barriers
to break through, but have come out
of it with a very strong faith-based marriage. We feel
blessed to be able to care for Aaron, our adult grandson
who has special needs. I faced many medical challenges beginning with being diagnosed with Juvenile Arthritis at the age of 21 which also led to Iritis, (arthritis of the eye) and caused temporary blindness and scarring of my right eye. Being told I would be crippled, I listened to my wise father and made the choice to walk again, after a long and painful recovery period. I was told I would be in a wheelchair by the time I was 50. I am going to be 72 and still walking, although my hips and knees are now bone on bone. Joe was a firefighter and broke his neck as a youth and was injured as a firefighter. He cared for his mother during her later years, and his wife who had cancer and his grandson, who was hit by a drunk driver which resulted in a traumatic brain injury. We heard a message from our Pastor on 1st Peter 1:6,7 regarding trials and tests. We feel that God has been with us through these trials so that we could face the tests of our lives during retirement. We have learned so many things through research and experience in dealing with disabilities and aging, that we would like to share our expertise with those who are going through their own trials. We hope that we can be a resource for you.
